What Is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding and improving behavior. It focuses on how behaviors work, how they are affected by the environment, and how learning takes place. ABA uses these principles to help teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.

ABA Therapy, on the other hand, refers to the practical application of ABA techniques in everyday settings, particularly for individuals with autism. ABA therapy is tailored to each person’s unique needs and involves working one-on-one with a therapist to build skills like communication, social interactions, and self-care.

Both ABA and ABA therapy aim to enhance independence and improve the quality of life for individuals and their families.

What We Do

At our core, we believe every child and family is on a unique journey. That’s why we take the time to meet you where you are, understanding your child’s strengths, needs, and goals. From there, we design a personalized, evidence-based ABA plan just for your child. Our approach is centered on helping your child learn, grow, and succeed in a way that feels right for your family.

Whether you’re just starting ABA therapy or continuing your journey, we’re here to support and guide you every step of the way.

The ABA Process

What to Expect

Initial Assessment- Identifying Goals

We begin with a comprehensive assessment, administered by one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to understand your child’s current skills, strengths, and areas for growth. This helps us design the right plan.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on the assessment, your BCBA will create a customized ABA plan that targets specific goals, such as communication, social skills, or behavior improvement.

Therapy Sessions

Our Registered Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with your child to implement their treatment plan, using fun, engaging methods to teach and reinforce skills. All programs are supervised weekly by your BCBA.

Ongoing Evaluation (Every 3-6 Months)

We regularly reassess your child’s progress, adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure they continue meeting their goals.

Prompt Fading & Service Titration

As your child gains new skills, we gradually reduce prompts and adjust the frequency and amount of services to foster independence.

Graduation

Once your child has met their goals and no longer requires intensive support, they will “graduate” from ABA therapy, equipped with the tools they need for continued success!
BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY…

Is ABA Therapy the Right Choice?

Choosing the right therapy can feel overwhelming. To help you make an informed decision, we offer a complimentary consultation with one of our senior BCBA clinicians or Clinical Directors. This “Meet & Greet” provides an opportunity for caregivers to ask questions, learn more about our clinical approach to ABA, and understand what to expect from our services before your child’s initial assessment.

We are passionate about guiding your little one through their journey, making every step of the way enjoyable. Our team is ready to answer any questions you may have and support your family throughout this journey.
